| | (Post a comment) » Sapphire Radeon X1900 GT ReviewWith last week's introduction of the Radeon X1900 GT by ATI and their board partners, the $300 price segment is one of the hottest sectors of the graphics market right now, with three GPUs vying for supremacy at this price point: the Radeon X1800 XT, GeForce 7900 GT, and now the Radeon X1900 GT. Join us as we explore the performance of these GPUs as well as ATI's Radeon X1900 XT in today's review! | Previous news article | Back to main news | Next news article |

Brandon, thanks for another early heads-up on the the X1900GT. I've
been linking to your review a bunch of times (as always).
I'd love to see a 256MB X1800XT thrown in with these cards as they
represent the best $200-300 deal right now. Not sure how they price
in other countries, but Newegg has them for $219 after rebate or
$239 without rebate. I'd just like to know if the 512MB version
actually outperforms it making it worth the extra $60. Otherwise
the X1800XT 256MB owns this class of cards.

Why such a good score for a card that comes in dead last in every
test, costs more than X1800XT and performs far worse than its
predecesor.
WHY CAN'T WE GET SOME HONESTY?
This card blows in every single way and I don't care for the
reviewer making excuses for the card by saying its possible those
extra shaders will give it power when it didnt even come close to
the X1800XT in any of the shader intensive games.
Real score should be 60% and ATI should be ashamed for releasing a
weak card that can't even beat the one it is replacing. I swear this
is 9500pro/9600pro all over again.

I am about to get a new AM2 rig. I'm still very in doubt about what
videcard is should take. I'm thinking in a certain priceclass. That
class includes the X1800XT 256mb, the X1900GT and the nVidia 7900GT.
Now i'd like to go Ati cause of their performance. I play CoD2 alot!
But what should be the better choiche, the X1800XT 256mb or the
X1900GT? Or should i get a little more money for a better one?

Seems good enough but whats the deal with ATI saying its a $300
price card and retailers selling it for $350!?
This has been the case since the X800 series launch.
Anyways X1800XT 512MB is the card to get right now.
Best Price/Performance ratio.
Mainstream/Budget gamer X1800GTO or the 7600GT your pick but I'd
still say save up and get the X1800XT!

Of all 5 or 6 reviews of the X1900GT I've read Sapphire overclocks
the worst compared to Connect3d and other brands.
My first post ever FS btw :)

There REALLY needs to be AA benches in Oblivion. Do HDR tests, and
then AA tests.
