» VGA Cooler Mini-Roundup

Like the CPU industry, prices are rapidly falling in graphics industry -- high-end cards like the X1900 XT can be found for under $350, while the X1800 XT 512MB is below $200 and the 7900 GT is quickly approaching $250. Prices have never been this good. A lot of these high-end cards however generate a lot of noise, and so many enthusiasts are swapping out the stock coolers for aftermarket units and finding that the new coolers generate less noise with lower GPU temps. In this article, we're taking a look at four aftermarket VGA coolers from Arctic Cooling, Thermaltake, and Zalman, with prices ranging from $22-$60. See how the new coolers compare to each other, as well as stock cooling in noise and performance in this article!

» Could the Accelero be modded?
I wonder if the fan sucks or blows?

If it blows I imagine one could mount a tube or something from the fan and to a hole in once case. I like the idea of a quiet cooler but I do not want the 100 watt hot air from my X1900XTX to stay inside my case.

Madshrimps did a roundup with it and found that the Accelero cools better and stays quieter than the Sytrin.

I have a VF900 on a 19XT idling @ 43, but FEAR will load it up to 80C after only 5-10 minutes. I will have to run 3D2K6 and find out how much lighter it is on the cards. I've previously used the Accelero X2 on another 19XT and had pleasing results. We'll have to see.

Yes you did, but you failed to mention it in your "Test Setup and Test Parameters". Trying to search for test parameters in the "Cons" section is not where it should be located.
