Pretty much all the reviews or references (like in this article) have been going with a "meh" for Halo3, both on graphics and gameplay. Halo2 was already nothing to write home about. Halo3 will sell on brand name, just like Spiderman 3 is selling on brand name, but that's about it. I suppose MS is well aware that Bungie has not done such a good job this time: they moved the Halo release date to September, which is a less competitive period than October/November (originally planned release date). Compare that to all Warhawk betatesters reviews and comments, which are typically enthusiastic *despite* the regular crashes (while Halo3 betas seems to be overall a more stable experience). To still want to play despite lots of crashes means the gameplay has to be Good(tm). FWIW it's the same picture on all major review sites, FiringSquad & Gamespot aren't exceptions.
