The official City of Heroes web site has posted up word that the upcoming 20th issue of the Top Cow published comic book based on the super hero MMO will be the last. The issue is scheduled to be released later this month. City of Heroes subscribers got a free issue of the City of Heroes comic book every month when the game first launched. Originally the comic was created and published by the small Blue King Press which was founded by former City of Heroes designer Rick Dakan (who also wrote the comic series). A year later Top Cow began publishing the comic which had high profile creators such as writer Mark Waid and cover artist George Perez contributing at first. Later City of Heroes' publisher NCSoft made the decision to make new issues of the comic book downloable for subscribers (although the comic was still distributed to comic book stores).
