Poor AMD. After all these years, I finally put together an Intel / Nvidia PC for myself- a first (E6850 + 8800GTS on a P5K MB for some headroom).
The writing's on the wall... the jello is jiggling... the turkey's in the oven... the glory days of AMD are over. R.I.P.

I would still hold off right now, not for Vista that much but the DX10.1 cards are due out soon and the DX10 ones out right now won't run the "enhancements" in the upgrade

Come on firingsquad, look again at these results with Bioshock over 2900XT, 75fps with AA4x over DX10? (where AA doesnt work!) you barely will see more then 50fps with 2900XT over DX10, this is ridiculous, how about to test it again? since this doesnt make any sense and just provides false info. under DX9 AA works, under Vista it doesnt, yet fps under Vista are lower? another nonsense.

Welcome to the reasons as to why everyone is resistant to Vista.

Hmm, seems like 64bit Vista is the way to go. Glad of that, the 4GB/2GB effective memory limit is constricting. The only question now is how much memory to get on a 64bit Vista rig.

4GB is a happy medium - 32-bit programs in 64-bit Vista will still use less than 4GB.

I had sex with Commander Dostiya and she gave me self-replicating giant crabs!
