88%???
I guess after the GameSpot review of Kane and Lynch, game reviewers are afraid to tell the truth. How can you give a game almost 90% when their own artical says the second half of the game is weak? I hope this game reviewer got a big tube of KY for X-Mas, it's obvious he'll be grabbing his ankels in the future reviews.

after scrutinizing the demo with my friends lower end system (AMD 3700+ GF7800gtx, 2 gig ram) the game does seem unoptimized though I think more from a cpu stand point and not a gpu stand point, stupid Crytek >:( and the game itself wasn't 'too' great either, it was fun the first time but by the 3rd walk through it was old, diff situations would help but the lag on a decent computer with no way to lower settings for more fps is unforgiveable

Idk what aliens you were fighting but those things gave me a run for my money on the first encounters. Sure so they cant aim, can still charge you pretty hard. Ending did leave me yelling and cursing cliff hangers. 1 more hr and using the nuke on the island was all I asked.

I love the Power Struggle Mode of the multi-player, so much that you will rarely find me not on the top 3 for a match. I thought this could have had a little bit more mention. Complicated but in such a good way.

Maybe this explains the high system demands. They are not going to be updating the engine and it has to last for 2 more games so ... they made it a beast so that in 2 years it wont be a joke and you will still be talking about Crysis 2 and 3 instead of some other game.

Ya, I remember the HL2 stutter but if I remember correctly that wasn't a hardware issue it was how the drivers and the game engine were interacting that caused the problem.

Well, they have actually said that in Crysis 2 graphics will be even more focused on, especially the face.

The engine seems to have a lot of features that are now locked, but they will likely be gradually unlocked as hardware is more in line with the demands.

Crysis is definitely a resource hog. I have a dual 8800GTX rig (SLI) with 4GB of memory and 3Ghz C2D CPU and I find that the game is best played at 19x12, no AA (but all other options maxed). Even then there can be some chop.

But let's be honest folks, the game that still takes the cake when it comes to a resource demands is Neverwinter Nights 2. Even with the supposed "optimizations" in the expansion pack. That game brings my rig to its knees with all the shadows options on full. It's FAR less optimized than Crysis, as evidenced by the higher absolute resource demands and the much lower quality output.
