nVidia and ATI are only releasing the high end cards to the AGp
market, when will the AGp market see another mid-range product?

I think they're getting ready for the dual video cards market. Get
them out now, so when ever the dual PCI-E motherboards comes out
buying 2 cards wont break the bank.

Yeah, but the OEM manufacturers rarely use anything higher than the
entry level cards. Midrange cards like the 6600GT and the X700XT
are usually only bought by the aftermarket or enthusiast crowd, of
which *VERY FEW* people have or will have PCI Express for quite some
time.
If I were them, I'd get movin on the AGP versions, otherwise sales
will be in the toilet.

Very likely pcie to agp and pcie to pci will happen later as they
ramp up volume. For now likely thier entire supply is already
bought up by dell and compaq and all the others selling pcie compat
systems.

PCI Express is pretty nice. I used a 6600GT a bit this weekend and
found it to be a good card for basic gaming.
As for why release a PCI Express low end card I think that it is
pretty clear. OEM markets like Dell, Gateway and Compaq who can sell
a Geforce 6 PCI Express system which sounds good when marketing
spins it.

Anand's article has the 6200 besting ATI's x300's and proving
typically it is equal as the x600pro. (sans Doom3)

You lost me at "PCI Express-only" NVidia. I mean I
suppose you're targeting the poor saps who buy $&!% Dell machines,
but seriously, how many of these Dell people are going to be
upgrading to PCI Express any time soon? I could have used a couple
of these guys for Linux machines or to recommend for friends whose
wives won't let them buy 6800GTs. So why are you limiting the
number of people who can upgrade to this card? Stupid, stupid,
stupid.

When are Nvidia going to get round to deliverig PCI-E chipsets for
Athlons, both the 64 and the older XPs.
How much are they paying the idiot who decides to release these new
graphics cores for PCI_E only, when they don't make any motherboard
chipsets that can run these cards..... Talk about shooting yourself
in the foot.
