gah! some of you people are crazy if your spending money to buy a
completely new system to upgrade your 3ghz systems. Get some more
ram maybe, a new video card, and save money. heck you don't even
need a new vid card.your running a 9700! save your money!

Hi thanks for the great post
im a mad overclocker and i love benchmarking all my differant vid
cards and cpu,s, then i like to tweak system to max to see how much
harder they would perform .

i would dearly love a copy of this demo you have used to benchmark
all these cpu,s

i have a Vapochill sys waiting for the drilling :-)

if u could leave me some sort of contact detail so as we can arrange

Actually everyone can afford an FX, sort of. What you do is get a
MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum board and a socket 939 Athlon 64 3000+. Use
Quality PC400 and set it at PC333. Give your voltages a modest
increase and start cranking away the the FSB. 2.5 to 2.6 ghz is
easily attainable and delivers FX level performance. I'm running
mine at 2.5 ghz with a factory heatsink and it never breaks 40C.
Beats the hell out of the Prescot core.
