I like the colors. Overall the board seems nice. I've never upped
the voltage more than .1v on a processor, usually i bring it down a
.05 or a .1 to see if I can save on heat. So, for me, it seems to be
the perfect board.

I'm sorry but I just don't think you can excuse have 1 SATA cable on
any motherboard, much less a high-end board with 6 SATA ports. It
would be one thing if other manufacturers were doing the same, but
they aren't. DFI, Asus, MSI, etc, all of them include them.
Besides if the reviewer were to let them get away with that, who
knows where they're going to skimp next!

Why would the Sandra scores differ by so much? With its integrated
memory controller, I would think the k8 would perform largely the
same on a synthetic cpu/mem benchmark regardless of chipset.
Somehow I have a hard time believing ATI magically found a way to
unlock some 15% extra performance out of the k8 core that was
heretofore untapped. Almost makes me think they made a mistake and
benchmarked two completely different cpus.

I bought a ASUS board with the 9100 IGP two years almost for a
customer, took me a hell of a long time to get the fuck'n thing to
run stable whatsoever, but once it ran it's still going today
without a problem.Sapphire wouldnt put their first board out if it
was crappy, they arnt that stupid. I trust them with my video cards
and this is looking like a great upgrade option when i move on to
the big 64 bit.

I still love how motherboards come with 2 and maybe three PCI slots,
and the industry still has yet to make any use what-so-ever of
PCI-1X slots.
The PC industry seemed to have a hard on for PCI-16X graphics cards
where the bandwidth wasn't needed, so why no push for PCI-1X cards
where the dedicated bandwidth for each card would really increase
system performance?

Quite often it's the little things that can make a huge difference.
Besides, there are still some of us still stuck on the IDE bus.

I can't believe a paragraph was actually dedicated to pointing out
the lack of cables as a serious issue. They cost like $5, and as
they said you'll probably have more than enough laying around from
previous builds. If you're an enthusiast, you'll already have the
cables. If you're not, you probably won't have more than one hard
drive anyway! ...

Feh, I *already* have a hard-enough time using my ATI TV Wonder Pro
and (former) ATI 9800 video card in my system...and ATI wants me to
run a MOTHERBOARD with their hardware/drivers? No thanks.
Granted, ATI has made some astounding improvements in the realm of
driver/software support over the last 3 years or so...
But install an ATI TV Wonder Pro in a system and get it to do what
you want it to (like...oh, NOT crash its own scheduling software
with latest version of MMC...or NOT develope sound/video sync
problems...or NOT have a "Tivo-like" delay when playing
consoles, even though the card doesn't support real-time TIVO
features) and then tell me you'd be confident running a freakin'
motherboard made by the same people.
