i don't know about this lost chapters, but i played the original and
it was waay too easy and waaay too short.
just when the story was getting kind of good, it ended. I was like
wtf, when i beat the game.
secondly, i didn't even put one point in any archery skill and i
played most of the game with a bow and owned every thing with my no
skill bow.
third, the evil/good choices was pretty much pointless, i forget,
but i think you can get a different epic weapon depending on your
alignment, but the game is so easy (and money is so easy to make),
you can just buy the highest rated item in store and own the entire
game with it.

I think the main problem is cross-platform development practice. I
think every developer must finally understand that it is impossible
to write a good game for nintendo or x-box and then port it
succesfully to PC. And especially - not with RPG. Even in Diablo I
feel more freedom than in this game. Stupid quests, microscopic maps
- it can not come to any comparitions not only with Morrowind,
Baldurs Gates or such titles - even Diablo like games have much more
to explore. I think this game got very high score, for x-box clone
and it simply does not deserve it. Even "stupid RPG games"
as some people call it have much more depth, than Fable.
Simply another abominable clone.

Haven't played the PC version, but you don't just have to make
houses you buy marital homes, you can rent them out. You can kill
people and shop-owners and take their property as well! Become a
slum-lord in your spare time.
Mates will present you with nice presents and boost certains stats
for you, though. They're not just black holes.
I'd give the original an 83 at least, but it was short. Once I get
Lost Chapters, I'll probably have to bump it up to 87 or so.

After pining for Fable and a couple of other platformers, I finally
got an Xbox, only to find that the game wasn't all I had expected.
The one thing that kept me plugging along was the story. And even
it drug at times. So, I'm terribly upset to see the rating for the
PC port. 79's not bad though. It's about the same rating I'd give
for the original.

This game is not immense. There are only about three dozen areas in
the game, which sounds like a lot but only a hand full actually have
anything to do in them.
A better genre for this game would be adventure-RPG. It has more in
common with a game like Zelda than a real RPG. You can't even fail a
quest, you have to reload and try again. A real RPG will respond
whatever you do. I think the score is appropriate; OK, not great.
If anyone is looking for a true RPG, skip this and wait for
Oblivion.
