| | (Post a comment) » ASUS Extreme Radeon X1800 XT TOP/2DHTV ReviewIf you're tired of Radeon X1800 XT cards that follow ATI's reference design, you'll definitely want to check out today's review of the ASUS Extreme X1800 XT TOP. Not only does the board feature a nearly silent dual-slot cooler, it also runs at the blazing clock speeds of 700MHz on the graphics core, and 800MHz memory! The board even ships with its own separate power supply and gamepad. But is this enough to overtake the mighty GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB? Find out in today's review! | Previous news article | Back to main news | Next news article |

I am missing tempreadings in this review. Esp. with the warm airflow
being redirected into the case instead of directed out of the case
as in the reference cooler of the 1800 XT. I.m.h.o.

dream on, regardless of the hype and rumors the x1900 is NOT coming
at the end of this month. It will be probably 4months or more
before you can actually buy one.
that being said, the race is certainly getting interesting between
ati and nvidia. either way you go you will have an excellant card.

All of your cards are belong to Nvidiati.
All of your cards will be worth less than $50 in 2 years.

Shouldn't this card be compared to the XFX GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB
XXX Edition or something similar. I don't think it would have won
anything against that burly of a beast.
I still want to see how two of the XFX GeForce 7800 GTX 512MB XXX
Editions would perform in SLI with an Athlon 64 X2 4800 now that the
multithreading patches are begining to pop up.

7800 512mb simply beats 1800xt and scale better when overclocked.
that is the truth and that is it. Stop your Ati-fanboy bias. Stop
all the if/will more pipe %@%#, Ati doesn't have it. Be fair. Ati
was better with 9xxx, but now it is not. that is life and Ati needs
to learn from it and improve, not being praised by you fan-boys.

well, this is a OVERCLOCKED card. If you overclock a 7800gtx 512mb,
this won't beat it.

The stock heatsink on the x1800xt is better then the Zalman. Zalman
sucks on this card, don't waste your time. To many people have
posted higher temps using the Zalman then with stock
