Well, everyone is entitled to his opinion. And while I disagree with
this review, I cant say its a bad review.
The reviewer list his gripes with the game nicely, so you can read
into those and decide for your self.
Besides 75 is not bad. I would give it 85 but thats just me.

The game got what it deserved, so everybody needs to stfu. Were you
guys really expecting the game to be truely amazing? We all played
the unreal mod, and it may have been one of the best mods out there,
but comparing this game to full featured games is ridiculous.
This game is average at best. You better get use to that.

One thing I like up Firingsquad reviews is they tend to be much
longer than the short 2 page reviews found on most other websites
and do a good job of telling you what to expect in the game. For
example both the FS Rome:Total War and Galactic Civ 2 reviews were
both excellent. After reading a FS game review I have a pretty good
idea whether I will dislike or like a certain game since FS review
are very detailed.
The RO review was just not in-depth enough and did not cover the
unique aspects of the game well enough.
Besides I thought it was strange how the reviewer like Operation
Flashpoint but did not enjoy RO. Both games have large, open levels
and obsession with realism. How can you like one but not the other?
Besides I did not find the level size to be problem in RO. Once a
side captures most of the objectives the spawn moves foward to cut
down the time you need to get into the fight. I also think the open
levels allow more flexibility compared to DoD:S cramped levels. For
example instead of having to charge the MG, you can easily flank it
just like in real-life.

This is the worst review Firingsquad has made.. Generally the
articles here are great, whatever the topic is.
I don´t personally like battlefield 2, but if I were to review
it, i wouldn´t give it 75%.. I would give it something like
90%, because it still is a good game, even if I don´t like
it..
This review is way too short, it seems as if the writer
doesn´t really know about RO. He doesn´t mention the for
example the momentum system which includes different speeds
depending on the direction of movement.. The awesome sounds are
covered in one sentence.. Better sounds than in bf2 imho..
He only says that it is realistic, he could have told more.
I like this game, because it is realistic, it needs skill.. Skill in
a different manner than cs or bf2.. If you were the best in the
world in cs, you would lose every game in RO for weeks..
My place is not to write a review here, firingsquad can do that, but
with a little more professionality.

Well I cann't blame someone for his opinion.
Thing is the article seems to be written by someone who either
didn't play the game enough or forgot to mention some of the more
briljant things present in RO.
Either way means the review is not one of the best.
Bad thing is that others who have never played this game might
believe this review to be the whole truth and nothing but the truth
;)
I suggest you guyz just to wait for the demo and try it yourself.
You might be in for a huge surprise.
Monk.

wow... that's really awesome how they removed a bunch of the
comments from people who didn't like the review. Real mature
firingsquad, real mature.

I thought the game was alright, but I am not a big fan of it. So for
me the score seems fair.
