Virtually no plot or characters.
The tiny bits of plot are badly done.
The fights are mindless -- for the most part it's just clicking on the enemies until they're dead.
Stats system is overly simplistic.
Too linear.
The end is a terrible let-down.

A massively over-rated game. Sure, it's well put together but it's all looks and no substance. Some people may get off on rapidly clicking on sprites for hours, but for my money that gets pretty repetative pretty quick.
