This board seems to have the controls I need to fine tune everything. I like the Award BIOS.

Not enough USB headers! My case and components have 5 USB cables among them, and the board provides only 2.
Board layout is a bit cramped.
- The capacitors (I think they are anyway) near the processor interfere with my Volcano heatsink. Had to bend one a bit (ABIT!?) to get it in.
- The floppy controller connector interferes slightly with the lowest PCI slot.
Installing onto the tray was a bit too hard. The external connectors were tough to get seated perfectly, so the srew holes and posts did not match up exactly. I double checked it and eventually got it mounted, but it shouldn't have been so tough.

So far so good. I will add more details as I go. I have not updated the BIOS to v13 yet ... I will do that tomorrow and start tweaking. |
