Gives you, and only you, the 5.1 surround experience. Really increases immersion level in games like Doom3 and NFS:MW. It worked well in BF2 also. You can hear things coming up behind you, and you can hear explosions all around you. I like it a lot. They also have nice padding and remain comfortable for at least two hours. It's probably good to take a break every so often anyway.

No mic for teamspeak and it uses up all the audio ports so there isn't anywhere to plug a regular mic in. You could use a USB mic with it. Could have more powerful bass. Also it would be nice if there was a way to adjust the sensitivity of each speaker to really tune it in. Some soundcards may allow this, but my onboard 5.1 (Gigabyte-GA-K8NS) does not allow adjustment of individual volume levels (i.e. adjusting up center speaker, or subwoofer).

Do what they're supposed to do. Great sound quality, good surround effect. Would be nice to have a mic, and to be able to adjust speaker volumes individually. |
