| Recommend. | Dawn of Magic | Dawn of Magic is a solidly made, occasionally quite addictive and fairly beautiful game to look at (so long as you don't zoom in too close on the action) and its use of magic and a nice crafting system do go some way to compensate for some of its problems |
Rating: 8/10 | Sid Meier's Pirates! - Live the Life | The controls are so easy to grasp that you'll rarely find any need to look in the manual for anything other than general hints |
Rating: 7/10 | Vampire: Bloodlines | Whoever wrote the music for Bloodlines deserves a solid pat on the back; the creepy music really adds to the ambiance of the game |
Rating: 10/10 | Halo 2 | Halo 2 is quite simply an indescribably phenomenal gaming experience that redefines both the first person shooter genre and next generation gaming. - SITE AWARD |
Rating: 10/10 | GTA: San Andreas | Rockstar has outdone themselves and their competitors once again, raising the bar on just about every aspect of gameplay. |
Rating: 7/10 | Men of Valor | Men of Valor is a good game that absolutely shines in some areas but lacks polish in others. |
Rating: 10/10 | Rome: Total War | Rome: Total War is a true chef-d'oeuvre and deserves the attention of all gamers, not just strategy aficionados. Donning sandals has never felt so good!! - SITE AWARD |
Rating: 9/10 | Doom 3 | Doom 3 is a furious, fast paced action game with an intriguing story, gorgeous graphics and some excellent level design. If you crave more than that, wait for Half-Life 2; the rest however can lap this one up. |
Rating: 7/10 | Battlefield: Vietnam | This is a top game with a top soundtrack and top playability but somewhat stranded in the middle of a minefield of bugs! |
Rating: 7/10 | The Hulk | Hulk is an immensely satisfying game and more proof that movie tie-ins can be great games when the developers are prepared to make the effort - you can certainly see they have in this case. |
Rating: 9/10 | Hitman 2: Silent Assassin | Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is a totally engrossing and addictive experience. It uses a great degree of realism whilst keeping the controls and action accessible. |
Rating: 6/10 | Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness | Tomb Raider: The Angel Of Darkness is the first game of the series to hit PlayStation 2 and it has never looked better. |
Rating: 7/10 | Deus Ex: Invisible War | Deus Ex: Invisible War would have ranked up there with its older brother but it's simply a case of too little too late from Eidos. |
Rating: 7/10 | Dungeon Siege | Dungeon Siege is a bit repetitive and has a none too original take on the RPG genre. Still, it is kind of fun, even slightly therapeutic through its non-stop action. |
Rating: 10/10 | Grand Theft Auto: Vice City | All in all, there isn't any more to say, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is the best action title on PS2 at the moment. I cannot see why anyone would not enjoy this game. - SITE AWARD |
Rating: 9/10 | Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne | Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne is a worthy sequel to a groundbreaking original. With its classy new Noir story, updated graphics and action sequences that unfold as violently and as excitingly as a 100 John Woo films... |
Rating: 9/10 | Freelancer | It has to be said that Freelancer is probably one of the best games I have played this year and is defiantly one I will continue to return to over the course of the year. - SITE AWARD |
Rating: 10/10 | Call of Duty | Call Of Duty is a game of many merits and while none of these will be to do with originality, it is a game that can be held in high acclaim thanks to some superb design by the developers. - SITE AWARD |
